If you do not have a SSN, your investment options are limited. You cannot own stocks since stockbrokers insist on a SSN to report taxes. You cannot even own tax-free municipal bonds because the brokers insist on using SSN as an account number.
HOWEVER - you CAN invest in commodities trading. This includes currency futures and heating oil futures.
